With the uncertainty in our community around business and school closures, I can confirm that we are still open for classes on premises this week. We are obviously watching government advice closely and will be in contact should this change.
As we all play our part in slowing the spread of Coronavirus, this is just a reminder we have taken steps to keep our classrooms healthy for the past 3 weeks already, and we will continue these protocols for the forseeable future:
– All classrooms and common areas are disinfected every evening. This includes a full wipe down of all hard surfaces and stationery with alcohol based disinfectant.
– Hand sanitiser is freely available in all classrooms and the common area. All students are encouraged to sanitise their hands on arrival and continue to do so throughout class time.
– Parents have already been fantastic about proactively cancelling classes if your child has flu symptoms – Thank You! Please continue to keep children home if they are sick, we are more than happy to arrange make up classes at a later date.
It is highly likely that at some point we will be instructed to close premises for the safety of our community. Classes will then be available via video conference only. Our interactive video conference classrooms are already set up and running, and we’ve had a number of student use the service over the past 3 weeks.
If you prefer not to wait and would like to switch to online lessons immediately, please let me know – we are more than happy to do so. Technology requirements are minimal and we can get students set up quickly. All online lessons will need to be booked so that we can manage bandwidth, but the service is available 24/7 and most of our tutors are flexible with their time.
Thank you for your support, and hoping everybody stays healthy!
